About The Position
The Paraprofessional supports students at Warrendale Charter Academy in Detroit, Michigan, which serves students in grades K–8. The role provides instructional assistance to students who need academic intervention, individually or in group workshops, as directed by the classroom teacher and designated instructional leader. The paraprofessional is expected to support students’ academic, moral, and social development and help implement the curriculum to promote growth from fall to spring testing. The position also participates in professional development and articulation meetings with classroom teachers and parents as required.
Requirements
- Must meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional.
- Knowledge of and ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and/or mathematics.
- Understanding of and capability to navigate technical systems.
