About The Position
Warrendale Charter Academy is seeking a Paraprofessional to support students in grades K–8 in Detroit, Michigan. The role provides instructional assistance to students who need academic intervention through one-to-one support or group workshops, as directed by the classroom teacher and designated instructional leader. The Paraprofessional is expected to support students’ academic, moral, and social development and help implement a results-driven curriculum intended to promote growth from fall to spring testing. The position also involves professional development and articulation meetings with classroom teachers and parents as required. Requirements
- Meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional.
- Have knowledge of and the ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and/or mathematics.
- Understand and be able to navigate technical systems.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a school or with school-age children is preferred.
