About The Position

Vital Medical Transport is hiring Paramedics to join its team in Marshall County. The role responds to emergency and non-emergency medical calls, assesses scenes and patients, provides care consistent with the employee’s certification and approved Standing Medical Orders, communicates with dispatch and receiving facilities, documents care, and operates an ambulance to transport patients. The posting welcomes newly certified applicants as well as those with field experience.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED.
Current state licensure as an EMT, Advanced EMT (A-EMT), or Paramedic.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Current CPR certification.
Strong communication skills and a calm, compassionate approach under pressure.
Able to lift up to 250 pounds with a partner and assist with patient transfers throughout a shift.
Able to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods in all weather conditions.
Comfortable working around blood or blood-borne pathogens while following proper safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

PHTLS, ITLS, or National Registry Certification is a plus.
For Paramedic candidates, ACLS and PALS certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly to 911 calls, obtain dispatch information, and navigate safely and efficiently to the scene.
Respond to non-emergent and emergency medical calls for assistance.
Assess scene safety hazards and patient needs upon arrival before initiating care.
Assess patients and provide treatment consistent with certification level and approved Standing Medical Orders.
Communicate with dispatch and receiving facilities, providing timely updates and patient information.
Create patient care reports and fully document care provided.
Safely operate an ambulance and transport patients between facilities.
