About The Position

Aevitas Law is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and service-minded Paralegal to join our Lancaster office. Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of paralegal experience.
  • An understanding of estate and tax planning, business law, and/or real estate law.
  • Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
  • Clear and professional communication — in writing, by telephone, and in person — with clients, attorneys, and outside contacts.
  • Comfortable with CRM software (Clio preferred) and has a strong working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and strict deadlines while maintaining a calm, organized, and client-focused presence.
  • Takes initiative, leads by example, and brings a positive, "can-do" attitude to every task.
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent service to clients and the team.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to effectively manage caseloads and meet client objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys.
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files.
  • Investigate facts and laws of cases and search public records and other resources to prepare cases and determine causes of action.
  • Prepare and process estate planning, real estate, and business planning documents — wills, powers of attorney, trusts, and more – with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • File documents such as business formation applications and amendments, deeds, and IRS applications.
  • Utilize and maintain the law firm client database (Clio).
  • Track the status of client projects and maintain organizational systems to keep project momentum.
  • Set appointments for attorneys, prepare client correspondence, and communicate promptly and professionally with clients and outside contacts.
  • Notarize documents when needed.
