About The Position

The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is hiring a Family Law Paralegal to support its Texas legal practice. The role manages family law and estate planning/guardianship matters from inception through resolution, drafts substantive legal documents, leads discovery and inventory work, and partners with attorneys on trial preparation. The paralegal also oversees court filings, calendaring, and accurate billable-hour tracking. Requirements

• At least 2 years of dedicated Texas family law experience as a paralegal.
• Proficiency with e-filing across state court portals and knowledge of current local rules.
• Fluency with Clio or MyCase, Google Suite, and modern document management systems.
• Understanding of the boundary between legal information and legal advice.
• Ability to remain calm in emotionally charged litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of family law and estate planning/guardianship matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft substantive pleadings, motions, and complex discovery responses accurately.
• Lead discovery and inventory processes, including tracing separate-property funds and identifying red flags in financial affidavits or business valuations.
• Work with attorneys to prepare trial exhibits, organize trial notebooks, and manage ongoing Requests for Order (RFOs).
• Oversee court filings and maintain calendars for hearings and deadlines.
• Ensure billable hours are accurately recorded.
• Provide mentorship and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
