About The Position

The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is hiring a full-time Family Law Paralegal in Dallas. The firm is a Texas law firm specializing in family law, estate planning, probate, and criminal defense. This role supports attorneys and clients through family law and estate planning/guardianship matters, helping clients navigate difficult circumstances with professionalism and empathy in a team-based environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of dedicated Texas family law experience as a paralegal.
• Proficiency with e-filing across state court portals and familiarity with local rules.
• Fluency in Clio/MyCase, Google Suite, and modern document management systems.
• Understanding of the distinction between legal information and legal advice.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in emotionally charged litigation.
• Self-starter with the ability to provide mentorship and contribute to a collaborative team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with estate planning and guardianship matters.
• Ability to identify red flags in complex financial affidavits or business valuations.
• Interest or experience in supporting trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage family law and estate planning/guardianship matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft substantive pleadings, motions, and complex discovery responses accurately.
• Lead discovery and inventory processes, including tracing separate property funds and identifying issues in financial affidavits or business valuations.
• Work with attorneys to prepare trial exhibits and trial notebooks and manage ongoing Requests for Order (RFOs).
• Oversee court filings and maintain calendars for hearings and deadlines.
• Ensure billable hours are recorded accurately.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture and provide mentorship.
