Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida, Inc. (CCLA) is a non-profit organization established in 2003, funded by the Legal Services Corporation (LSC). Located in Plantation, Florida, CCLA provides free civil legal services to low-income and eligible residents of Broward County. Our mission is to ensure equal justice for underserved communities through high-quality, innovative free civil legal aid. We offer legal advocacy to thousands of economically disadvantaged residents, helping them overcome barriers to a healthy and stable life and gain greater access to justice. CCLA provides legal assistance in Family Law & Victims of Crime, Economic Advocacy & Community Health (public benefits), and Senior Law for individuals aged 60 and older. We are committed to providing quality civil legal representation and equal access to justice, irrespective of income. Our vision is a community where everyone has the legal resources to thrive. CCLA is currently seeking two (2) Paralegals for its Family Law & Victims of Crime Unit. These Paralegals will work under attorney supervision, supporting clients throughout all case stages. Responsibilities include client intake and interviewing, case management, discovery, e-filing, calendaring, investigations, client communication, drafting pleadings and correspondence, mandatory disclosures, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. The role also requires familiarity with domestic and intimate partner violence, criminal law, elder abuse, and trauma-informed services.
