This role provides flexible, building-based support across multiple students, classrooms, and settings to assist in the implementation of academic, behavioral, social-emotional, executive functioning, and independence supports identified through IEPs, 504 plans, MTSS interventions, and building-level student support systems. The Paraeducator will offer adaptable support based on changing student, classroom, and building needs as directed by administrators and case managers, assisting students in accessing instruction, classroom routines, transitions, and inclusion opportunities. This position may involve intermittent personal care, mobility assistance, delegated health tasks, and adaptive support, while focusing on promoting student independence, self-regulation, engagement, and skill generalization. Data collection and documentation are key to assisting teams in monitoring support effectiveness. The role requires utilization of assistive technology, adaptive supports, and behavior support strategies, with close collaboration with administrators, case managers, counselors, teachers, and related service providers. Completion of required CPI, de-escalation, and safety training is mandatory. Flexibility and physical capability to move between settings and provide physical assistance, lifting, or toileting support are essential.
