About The Position

The Pantry Lead is responsible for inventory control of pantry items, ensuring order tickets from Retail Stands are complete, accurate and requested items are transferred to Stands in a timely manner responsible for the Supervision of Porters. This role takes place in an events-based setting, which means that schedules and hours will vary. In general, you will most likely work 8 or 10 events a year. You will turn in an availability and we will take that into account when we reach you on the scheduling list. This role is a union position under Unite Here 11. Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the union, new hires in this role start at 80% of the negotiated pay rate. After 20 shifts worked, the employee will be raised to 90% of the negotiated pay rate. After 40 shifts worked (20 at 80%, 20 at 90%), the employee will be raised to 100% of the negotiated pay rate. The wage listed on this job posting is the starting wage of 80%.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in a similar role
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment based on previous experience to solve problems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • May act as an informal resource for those with less experience
  • Required to gain an extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment including but not limited to steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, and dishwashing equipment
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of basic sanitation procedures

Responsibilities

  • Trains & guides pantry staff on job duties & proper safety & sanitation procedures
  • Ensure that daily location inventory sheets are complete & accurate.
  • Ensure that all product is accompanied by proper documentation when leaving or entering location.
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities to assigned location personnel
  • Ensure that location staff is following instructions
  • Project a professional appearance according to Aramark standards
  • Enforce all Aramark policies
  • Ensure that pantry is in accordance with all guidelines and regulations
  • Maintain a “clean as you go” work environment (overall sanitation of location and surrounding assigned area)
  • Recording of all food/refrigeration temperatures in accordance with specific regulations
  • Completion of opening and closing duties paperwork(ex. cleaning checklist and opening/closing checklist)
