About The Position
Implements a County-wide program at a PALS Sports & Cultural Day Camp site. Demonstrates knowledge of recreational principles and practices, safety operations, and program management. Promotes a positive working environment by encouraging team work, respect, cooperation, and open communication. Trains and supervises subordinate staff, oversees all planned activities and events, mediates parent and staff concerns in a professional manner. Understands and implements accessibility standards and policies, prepares weekly reports, and attends all required meetings. Performs other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, physical education or recreation and two (2) years of professional level experience in planning, organizing and directing recreational activities or any equivalent combination of training and experience in the areas specified above.
- TB Clearance: (Prior to Interview)
- Must have a vehicle and a valid motor vehicle driver's license (equivalent to State of Hawaii Type 3).
