Winter 2026 PALS Recreation Director
About The Position
This is a Winter program position with program dates from December 22, 2026 - December 31, 2026, operating Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Training will occur from December 16, 2026 - December 21, 2026, at various times and locations. The Director will demonstrate quality leadership by stimulating interest in the recreation leaders and aides they supervise. They will be actively involved in planning, instructing, daily curriculum, and all recreational activities with leaders and aides. The Director will serve as a positive role model, mentor staff, enforce program rules and regulations, and perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, physical education, or recreation, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience in youth programming.
- TB Clearance (Prior to Interview).
- Must have a vehicle and a valid motor vehicle driver's license (equivalent to State of Hawaii Type 3).
Responsibilities
- Stimulate interest in recreation leaders and aides.
- Plan, instruct, and oversee daily curriculum and recreational activities with leaders and aides.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor to staff.
- Enforce applicable program rules and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
