About The Position

This position is for a Winter 2026 PALS Recreation Leader. The program dates are December 22, 2026 - December 31, 2026, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Training dates are December 16, 2026 - December 21, 2026, with various times and locations. The leader will inspire confidence and enthusiasm in recreation aides, interact with them by encouraging program participation with children, and build a working environment where children value the lessons taught by the staff. Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• College student with a major in education or recreation; or any equivalent combination of training and experience in youth programming and/or organizing and leading groups of children in recreational activities.
• TB Clearance (Prior to Interview)

Responsibilities

• Inspire confidence and enthusiasm in the recreation aides for whom they are responsible.
• Interact with recreation aides by encouraging them in program participation with groups of children.
• Build a working environment so children will grow to value the lessons that are planned and taught daily by the staff.
• Performs other related duties as required.
