About The Position

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a close-knit team in Pinehurst, NC. This role is 100% inpatient and involves treating patients across multiple units at Moore Regional Hospital. The care team includes four Palliative Care APPs and two dedicated social workers, utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to care. The organization is a premier healthcare system in the Southeast, known for its commitment to patient care and excellence.

Requirements

NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
PA must be a graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
Minimum 2 years of advanced practice experience required.
Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making.
Exceptional communication skills; must be able to effectively navigate sensitive patient/family discussions.
Clean background, NC license, and NC DEA required.
AHA ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Treat patients across multiple units at Moore Regional Hospital.
Collaborate with Hospitalists, specialists, nurses, discharge planners, and others in a multi-disciplinary approach to care.
Function autonomously across all units.
