About The Position

Carvana is hiring a Mid-Level Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician for its Manville, New Jersey location. The technician will repair smaller-sized dents on steel and aluminum vehicle panels using panel-access and glue-pulling techniques. Candidates must have at least three years of professional automotive PDR experience. The position offers $18.00–$31.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level, and a $6,000 sign-on bonus for mid-level technicians (Level 2). A $8,000 sign-on bonus is listed for high-level technicians (Level 3). Technicians work in one of Carvana’s high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers, where vehicles are inspected and reconditioned before being photographed and listed for sale. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Saturday overtime may be needed, and mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees to support skill and pay progression. Employment is contingent on passing a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive paintless dent repair experience.
Experience accessing panels and using glue-pulling techniques to repair smaller-sized dents on steel and aluminum panels.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a background check.
Must be legally able to work without visa sponsorship for this role.
