About The Position

ABM Industries is seeking a skilled Painter to join its Operations & Maintenance team. The Painter performs painting and surface preparation tasks to maintain and enhance the appearance and integrity of clients’ facilities. The role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional painting experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and various interior and exterior painting methods.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and practices.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in painting or surface finishing.
• Experience with epoxy coatings, waterproofing, or specialty finishes.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and applying primer.
• Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Repair and patch drywall, plaster, and other surfaces as needed.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
• Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts to reach high areas.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding project status and needs.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
