About The Position

AGI is seeking a Painter to work on the manufacturing floor and perform final-part operations, including washing, painting, deburring, and dipping parts into anti-rust solutions. The position is based in Marshall, Illinois, within the Manufacturing department. Compensation is $18.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Microsoft Office skills.

• One to two years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards and make adjustments as necessary.
• Wash and prepare products before painting, which may include sandblasting.
• Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality through visual inspections or other stated methods.
• Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to instructions.
• Set up and operate machines to paint or coat products with materials such as paint, epoxy, or rust-preventive coatings.
• Adjust dials, hand wheels, valves, or switches to regulate air pressure, circulation, and the flow of materials.
• Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids.
• Attach hoses or nozzles to machines using wrenches and make adjustments to obtain the proper result.
• Place items or products on feed racks, spindles, or reel strands for coating, painting, or spraying, using hands, hoists, or truck lifts.
• Mark or tag material with the proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
