About The Position

Summit Oaks Hospital, a 126-bed private acute care hospital and chemical dependency treatment center, is seeking a Painter. The Painter will be responsible for painting patient rooms, offices, and public areas, ensuring a safe and risk-preventive environment in accordance with OSHA, NJDOH, NJDOA, and Joint Commission guidelines. Requirements

• High School Graduate/GED preferred
• 1-3 years of related work experience
• Knowledge of basic Painting duties.
• Knowledge of emergency code procedures.
• Knowledge of risk and safety precautions.
• Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work Per Diem as needed.
• Ability to properly respond to exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds may be required without assistance.
• Ability to work under any weather conditions inside or out without regard for temperature, anytime of the day or night.
• Ability to use hands in the performance of Painting duties and the use of Painting equipment.
• Ability to read, write and follow simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly Painting tasks of patient rooms, offices, and public areas as assigned by supervisor.
• Paint areas as directed.
• Refill Painting supplies in patient areas and Painting storage rooms.
• Keep Painting supplies and equipment safely stored when not in use and away from patient access when in use.
• Assist in assuring a safe and risk preventive environment.
• Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.
• Assist Director of Plant Operations as needed.
