About The Position

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Painter. The role involves performing minor and major repairs and implementing regular and preventive maintenance programs that support residents’ and staff’s well-being and the community’s aesthetic appeal. The Painter communicates with the Maintenance Director about the condition of buildings and equipment. The schedule is 8 hours per week, with flexibility in the dates and times worked during the week.

Requirements

• Be familiar with emergency procedures for chemical misuse.
• Demonstrate interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
• Demonstrate proper use of chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understand proper practices for handling biohazardous waste.
• Keep the laundry room clean and orderly, and store chemicals according to product or supervisor instructions.
• Follow standards and practices for specific chemicals.
• Demonstrate mechanical skills.
• Work effectively within the work-order system.
• Perform general maintenance, including light electrical work, painting, and carpentry.
• Communicate with the Maintenance Director about the condition of buildings and equipment.
• Perform minor and major repairs and implement regular and preventive maintenance programs.
