About The Position

As a Painter, you will help provide quality results for guests by applying painting skills and customer service expertise to ensure units and buildings are properly maintained. The role involves preparing surfaces and applying protective and decorative finishes to interior and exterior structures. You must comply with company standards and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of painting-trade equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools.
• Knowledge of safe use of power tools, shop tools, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Computer proficiency with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Remove old paint and prepare surfaces for painting.
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints, and smooth surfaces.
• Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings, fixtures, buildings, and other structures.
• Ensure the assigned area meets company compliance standards and use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
• Safely use scaffolding or set up ladders to perform work above ground level.
