Paid Film Training Program
About The Position
Fresh Films offers a free, paid accelerated training program for people seeking to build skills and industry connections for careers in film, television, and media production. The program combines hands-on production training, guest speakers, mentorship from Sony, NBC, Fremantle, and others, and workforce-skills sessions. Participants will produce four portfolio projects, have an opportunity to work on a TV or film set and earn an IMDb credit, attend studio tours and speaker sessions, and develop their resumes and interview skills. Participants who complete the program receive a $300 stipend. The program has limited spots and runs from January through June in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
Requirements
- Must be a Georgia resident.
- Must be between 18 and 29 years old.
- Must have graduated high school; applicants may be in college or the workforce.
- Must be passionate about film.
- Must be able to commit to the full training program from January through June.
- Must apply before December 11.
- No previous filmmaking experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Participate in hands-on film and media production training and workforce-skills sessions.
- Produce four projects for a portfolio.
- Attend guest-speaker sessions, mentorship activities, studio tours, meet-and-greets, and industry training sessions.
