About The Position

Komplex Care is hiring a Paediatric Care Assistant to provide safe, consistent, nurse-led care to a child in their own home in Carlisle. The child has an acquired brain injury and WPW syndrome and requires support with gastrostomy care, ventilation and suction. The assistant will also help the child take part safely in activities they enjoy, including music, sensory play and baking. The role is part of a dedicated, nurse-led team supporting people with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs. It is not standard domiciliary care: the assistant will follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor the child’s condition and carry out specialist interventions to help them remain safe, stable and comfortable at home. Individualised clinical training and ongoing nurse-led oversight are provided. The hours are 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, for 25 hours per week. The pay rate is £13.50 per hour. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.
