About The Position

Komplex Care is hiring a Care Assistant to support a young adult in their home in Derby for 36 hours per week. The individual needs support with O2 monitoring, PEG care, moving and handling, and personal care. The role also involves helping them safely take part in activities they enjoy.

The Care Assistant will work within a dedicated, nurse-led team providing hands-on care for people with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs. This is specialist care rather than standard domiciliary care. The role involves following detailed clinical care plans, monitoring changes in the individual’s condition, and carrying out specialist interventions to help keep them safe, stable, and comfortable at home. Individualised clinical training and ongoing nurse-led oversight are provided.

Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in care or confidence undertaking clinical training.
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently.
• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping.
• Genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care.
• Must already have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, medication, and clinical interventions.
• Support O2 monitoring, PEG care, and moving and handling for the individual.
• Help the individual safely enjoy activities that matter to them.
• Follow detailed clinical care plans and protocols consistently.
• Manage tracheostomies, ventilation, and specialist equipment as required.
• Monitor clinical observations and recognise deterioration.
• Maintain accurate records and escalate concerns immediately.
