About The Position

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a full-time Packer to join its production team in Chillicothe, Ohio. All shifts are available: Monday through Friday, with first shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and third shift from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Additional hours may be required due to business demands. The position is eligible for up to a $250 retention bonus and full-time benefits. The Packer assembles and labels product boxes, checks product and case information, removes defective products, and cleans and sanitizes work areas and plant equipment. The role also includes entering and maintaining manufacturing data and inventory information in the ERP system. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, able to lift 25 pounds, maintain concentration for up to three hours at a time, and balance on slippery surfaces. Work involves latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, hot water, and a noisy, fast-paced environment. Candidates must complete a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and preplacement screening to assess their ability to meet the physical requirements. Requirements

Must be able to sustain concentration for up to three hours at a time.

Responsibilities

Assemble and label boxes to be filled with products from the production line.
Ensure seals, codes, dates, and prices on product bags and cases are correct.
Remove defective products from the production line.
Clean and sanitize the work area and plant equipment.
Accurately enter and track manufacturing data in the ERP system, including production orders, materials, and finished goods.
Update ERP records to reflect real-time production status, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
Enter production and manufacturing data into the ERP system, including raw material consumption, machine usage, labor hours, and quality control data.
Track inventory levels in real time and coordinate with necessary teams to ensure timely material replenishment.
Perform other ERP responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
