About The Position

TA Travel Center is seeking a diligent, proactive Porter to help maintain clean, organized facilities and provide a welcoming atmosphere for employees and customers. The role includes routine cleaning, assisting with minor maintenance, supporting meetings and special events, monitoring janitorial supplies, and providing friendly customer service. All shifts are available; varied shifts, including nights and weekends, may be needed.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in a cleaning or custodial role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, particularly in restrooms, break areas, and entrances.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance, and alert management to major concerns.
• Set up and tear down equipment for meetings and special events.
• Monitor janitorial supply levels and report supply needs to management.
• Provide friendly, approachable customer service.
• Follow safety and health regulations.
