About The Position
More Than a Bakery is seeking a Packer/Food Inspector to help ensure that products meet internal and customer food safety and quality standards. The role focuses on inspecting, packing, labeling, weighing, and stacking products according to product specifications. New employees receive first-week training on standard operating procedures, food safety procedures, plant safety requirements, and powered industrial vehicle operation. Promotion opportunities are regularly available, and no probationary or introductory period is required for promotion eligibility. This full-time position is in Versailles, Kentucky, on the 2nd shift schedule of Monday through Thursday, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The starting pay is $19.83 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, high-quality production by verifying processes and attending to the company's Critical Control Points.
- Place products in the proper packaging according to item quality specifications.
- Place products in appropriate cases.
- Verify that code dates and labels are properly applied to cases.
- Stack product cases according to item-specific packing specifications.
- Fold cases efficiently and apply labels to help prevent line downtime.
- Weigh cases according to item requirements.
- Operate a powered vehicle and use the proper safety harness to clean conveyors at heights up to 25 feet.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
