Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Accurate reading, math, and organizational skills.
Food processing and packaging machinery experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

After next level certification, the packaging operator can expect a significant corresponding pay increase, AND there are annual level increases based on market and budget factors. Additional achieved levels pay even more and perform project work and leadership tasks.
Quarterly bonus incentives - earn up to 7% per quarter based on safety, quality, and other metrics.

Responsibilities

Work Night from 7:00PM - 7:30AM, 4-3-2 Rotating Schedule
Read and follow directions correctly, written and verbal, continuously.
Stand and walk on a cement floor, continuously.
Bend and lift, using proper lifting techniques, up to 50 lbs., occasionally.
Climb and balance on an 18 to 20 ft. ladder, occasionally.
Twist at waist and reach at or below shoulder height, frequently.
Ability to support production at line standards, continuously (i.e.: bag tucking, packing/stacking, component placing).
Ability to operate packaging equipment at standard, occasionally.
Ability to work in high and confined spaces, occasionally.
Ability to complete product and packaging change overs on equipment, occasionally.
Ability to fill and transfer bulk bags up to 50 lbs. to meet standard efficiencies, occasionally.
Work in a safe manner.
Proactive in quality and follow GMP's and housekeeping guidelines.
Follow procedures to ensure all food quality standards are met or exceeded.
Flexible to work other shifts and overtime as business needs require.
Committed to internal and external customer expectations.
Ability to confront and solve problems.
Effective communication skills and ability to provide meaningful feedback.
Efficient time management and ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Required to conduct work in a safe and legal manner, according to all GMP food safety standards, as well as following safety protocols.
Must be willing to be responsible for your safety and health, along with the safety and health of all employees, vendors, and visitors.
