About The Position

The Packaging Operator follows the direction of the Line Leader and Supervisor and performs solid oral dose bottle and/or blister packaging activities. The role operates packaging equipment, performs routine quality checks, completes required documentation, and helps maintain GMP compliance. The operator also works with colleagues to support departmental goals and reports packaging-line machinery problems to the Line Leader and Mechanics.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent, or at least six months of related manufacturing experience and/or training.
Sufficient reading and writing skills.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out special instructions for various packaging applications.
Ability to stand, walk, pick up, and carry packaging components and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

GMP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine checks to ensure quality standards are met and no cGMP violations occur during operation of assigned machines.
Set the slat pattern and operate the filling machine at the required speed.
Disassemble the Slat Filler, clean its parts, and reassemble the machine.
Load and operate the MGS Topserter at the required speed.
Change labels on the Labeler and operate it at the required speeds.
Inform the Line Leader and Mechanics of packaging-line machinery problems to maintain efficiency.
Complete necessary documentation to maintain GMP compliance.
Follow proper gowning and other attire requirements or restrictions.
Successfully complete all SOP training in Veeva.
Pack and scan finished products in compliance with serialization regulations.
Work and communicate with other employees in a team environment, helping departmental team members achieve departmental goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
