About The Position

The Packaging Operator follows the direction of the Line Leader and Supervisor and performs solid oral dose bottle and/or blister packaging activities. The role operates and maintains packaging equipment, performs quality and documentation checks to support cGMP and GMP compliance, and works with the team to meet departmental goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent; alternatively, at least six months of related manufacturing experience and/or training.
Sufficient reading and writing skills.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out special instructions for various packaging applications.
Ability to stand, walk, pick up, and carry packaging components and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

GMP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine checks to ensure quality standards are met and no cGMP violations occur while operating assigned machines.
Set the slat pattern and efficiently operate the filling machine at the required speed.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble the Slat Filler machine.
Load and efficiently operate the MGS Topserter at the required speed.
Change labels on the Labeler and operate it at the required speeds.
Inform the Line Leader and Mechanics of packaging line machinery problems to maintain peak efficiency.
Complete necessary documentation to maintain GMP compliance.
Comply with gowning and other attire requirements or restrictions.
Successfully complete all SOP trainings in Veeva.
Pack and scan finished products to comply with serialization regulations.
Communicate and work with employees in a team environment, helping department team members achieve departmental goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
