About The Position

Responsible for packing stick electrodes into various package sizes according to customer requests. The operator may be cross-trained and must be flexible to perform other duties as required by a supervisor. The role involves physical labor, scanning loads into GAP, stretch wrapping, and maintaining a clean, neat, orderly, and safe packaging area. The operator must follow a safety-first approach and obtain a forklift license to operate a forklift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Pass reading and math assessments.
• Able to perform physical labor and continually lift approximately 50 pounds.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Possess an excellent quality record.
• Possess an excellent attitude and communication skills.
• Be a team player with a good attitude.
• Be able to do simple math.
• Be safety conscious and maintain a safety-first attitude.
• Obtain a forklift license and be physically capable of driving a forklift.
• Be flexible to perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Pack stick electrodes into various package sizes per customer request.
• Cross-train as needed.
• Scan loads into GAP properly.
• Perform stretch wrap duties.
• Keep the packaging area clean, neat, orderly, and safe at all times.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
• Work overtime as required.
