About The Position
Klondike Cheese Co. is hiring a Packager to package feta and other cheese products at its Monroe, Wisconsin location. The position pays $19.00 per hour plus a $3.00 third-shift premium, and offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The role involves operating packaging equipment, preparing and packaging products, inspecting finished goods, recording product and order information, and keeping equipment and work areas clean and sanitary. Additional related duties may be assigned by a supervisor or manager. The schedule is third shift, beginning at 11:00 p.m. and ending when work is complete, typically after 8–9 hours. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday plus every other Saturday. Employees must be willing to work overtime as needed. Cheese or food industry experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- A good attendance record is required.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to frequently and repetitively bend, stoop, turn, reach, and grasp.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Employment is contingent on satisfactory drug-test results.

Responsibilities
- Pack finished products into plastic for shrink wrapping, buckets, pails, or cartons.
- Load cheese products onto conveyors and into package processing equipment.
- Prepare packaging supplies and labels, and verify that materials are correct.
- Verify and document product codes, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
- Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met.
- Sort, weigh, and inspect products, adjusting weight or measurements to meet specifications.
- Verify product identification labels and attach them to finished packaged items.
- Remove finished items from machines and separate rejected items; inspect for and remove defective products and packaging material.
- Palletize packaged products and move pallets of cheese and totes into and out of production areas.
- Observe and operate packaging machines to ensure products meet quality and packaging standards.
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, containers, supplies, and work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
- Complete packaging and sanitation paperwork correctly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
