About The Position

The Material Technician/Packager reviews order instructions, labels and packages materials to meet customer specifications and quality standards. The role uses tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, tape guns and banding equipment. The technician identifies and reports damage or quality issues, follows safety guidelines and wears personal protective equipment, and works collaboratively with the production crew to meet assigned goals. Additional job-related responsibilities may be assigned.

This position works Sunday through Thursday from 10:45 p.m. to 6:45 a.m., with overtime as required. It requires frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds, mounting and dismounting equipment, and walking, climbing and bending for periods of time. Work may involve hot or cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions. Requirements

• Minimal manufacturing and/or warehouse experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to operate assigned equipment safely.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to mount and dismount equipment.
• Ability to walk, climb and bend for periods of time.
• Comfort working in hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of manufacturing and/or warehouse experience.
• Basic computer skills, such as data entry and retrieval.
• Lift truck operation experience.
