About The Position
GLS US is seeking seasonal package handlers to sort packages into the correct routes and support timely deliveries. Package handlers are front-line employees who work as part of a team to complete behind-the-scenes warehouse tasks safely and successfully in a fast-paced environment. The role involves scanning and sorting packages, loading and unloading trucks, and using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Employees must follow warehouse safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
- Must be willing to follow instructions and accept supervision.
- Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and cooperate with coworkers and supervisors.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
- Must regularly work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must regularly lift loads weighing 0–25 pounds, 26–50 pounds, and 51 pounds or more.
Responsibilities
- Scan and/or sort packages.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Comply with warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
