About The Position

Spee Dee Delivery is hiring a full-time Package Handler to load, unload, and sort freight accurately and promptly to support quick delivery. The role is based in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and begins at 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The company expects 10–15 hours of overtime each week; overtime is paid at time and a half after 40 hours per week. Pay is $20.00–$25.25 per hour, based on experience, with starting pay determined by relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity. The position is classified as nonexempt. The Package Handler works with a variety of freight, including hazardous materials, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have excellent verbal communication skills.
Have efficient time management skills.
Have excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
Be able to read labels at a fast pace and work independently.
Be able to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight.
Be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Be able to spend a minimum of 8 hours on your feet.
Be able to work with freight that may include hazardous materials, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals.
Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.
Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes.
Sort packages by zip code, city, or state.
Stack freight into trailers and routes to prevent damage and use space efficiently.
Wash fleet vehicles as needed to maintain the company image.
Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
