About The Position

The Part-Time Package Handler loads, unloads, and sorts freight accurately and promptly to support quick delivery. The role is based in St. Louis, Missouri, and offers Monday through Friday shifts starting at either 7:30 a.m. or 4:00 p.m. The position is listed as full-time despite the title’s part-time wording. Pay is $19.00–$24.25 per hour, based on experience; starting pay depends on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity. The work involves handling freight and packages, scanning barcode labels for tracking, sorting by destination, and stacking freight in trailers and routes to prevent damage and use space efficiently. The employee may also wash fleet vehicles and perform light custodial work to help maintain a clean and safe warehouse. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to pass a criminal background check. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.

Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently.
Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work with freight that may include hazardous materials, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
