About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a seasonal, part-time Package Handler to help keep packages moving during the holiday season. The role is based at 565 S Pinnacle Dr, Romeoville, Illinois. No prior warehouse experience is required; training is provided. The work involves unloading, sorting, moving, and loading packages, keeping the work area organized, and working with a team to move packages safely and on time. Seasonal team members may be considered for available permanent positions after the assignment ends, based on eligibility and availability; continued employment is not guaranteed.

The scheduled shift is Thursday through Saturday, typically 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. or until the sort is complete. Hours and end times may vary based on business needs and package volume. The season is scheduled to run from October 27, 2026, through January 1, 2027. The posting lists pay of $18.90 per hour, an additional $1.00 per hour shift premium for weekend work (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), a seasonal bonus, and overtime pay consistent with applicable law. Premium pay is offered for hours worked on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Bonus eligibility, amount, and payment requirements may vary by location and assignment, and additional terms may apply.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require.
• Repeatedly lift packages as described in the posting.
• Stand and/or walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
• Frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and squat while handling packages.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Work in hot or cold environments where temperature-control capabilities may be limited.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, sort, move, and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently.
• Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Keep packages organized and moving safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work area organized and ready for action.
• Work as part of a team to help packages reach their next destination safely and on time.
