About The Position

The P2P Coupa Implementation Specialist will support replacement of the current procure-to-pay platform with Coupa and own configuration activities through go-live. An implementation partner is engaged, and go-live is targeted for Q1 2027 following a fifteen-week build. The specialist will work with the systems integrator and collaborate with Finance, Legal, and scientific research teams. After implementation, the specialist will triage issue tickets, address recurring problems through configuration improvements or user training, and provide a comprehensive, documented handover to internal system owners.

Requirements

  • Hands-on configuration experience with modern procure-to-pay or source-to-pay platforms.
  • Participation in at least one complete implementation or major module go-live, with direct ownership of configuration or UAT activities.
  • Working knowledge of three-way matching, tolerance thresholds, and approval hierarchy design.
  • Experience with catalog configuration, punch-out enablement, and supplier network onboarding.
  • Ability to migrate, validate, and reconcile supplier master data, identify discrepancies, and explain variances.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-visibility implementation environment while supporting scientific and research-focused end users.

Nice To Haves

  • Coupa experience is strongly preferred; extensive experience with SAP Ariba, Zip, or Oracle will also be considered.
  • Strong hands-on Coupa implementation and configuration expertise.
  • Experience collaborating with third-party systems integrators.
  • Knowledge of procurement workflows, financial controls, and supplier management.
  • Experience supporting post-go-live stabilization, issue resolution, and knowledge transfer.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, documentation, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate configuration workshops with stakeholders alongside the systems integrator.
  • Execute and document configuration workstreams, including approval matrices, guided buying, catalogs, punch-out functionality, and supplier onboarding.
  • Build and load catalog and punch-out content, prioritizing high-volume suppliers.
  • Configure approval hierarchies according to approved signing matrices and validate functionality before go-live.
  • Perform data migration and validation for supplier master records, open commitments, and historical purchase orders.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test script development, session execution, defect tracking, and resolution.
  • Conduct dual-system reconciliation during parallel operations to prevent duplicate or missing orders.
  • Coordinate day-to-day work with the systems integrator and escalate project risks internally.
  • Troubleshoot post-go-live issues and deliver documentation and knowledge transfer to trained internal owners.
