This role involves managing assigned projects operationally and functionally, including OEM/OES projects, to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to profitability, quality, and production preparation. The Program Manager will secure and control project resources, drive associated P2 actors when P1 is not completed, and resolve project issues through escalation. They will also validate Project Team Members' activities, propose timing scenarios, conduct concept competitions, define and manage budgets, and prepare decision-making processes for relevant committees. The role requires applying Design to Cost methodology, escalating gaps versus targets, leading AAI and PTM development, setting project objectives, and ensuring appraisals for team members. Communication with customers regarding project progress, managing client relationships, and coordinating internal and external communication are crucial. The Program Manager must also ensure compliance with Valeo's values, culture, standards, code of ethics, and health, safety, and environment requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an Engineering field, but other degree field can be considered
5+ years of product development experience and process knowledge practice for automotive components, preferably lighting or plastic injection molded parts, electronics, or related to optics
Management experience with functional and/or hierarchical organization experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willing to travel

Responsibilities

Manage operationally and functionally the assigned Projects
Manage OEM/OES Projects
Responsible for the achievement of the Project KPI in terms of profitability, Quality, and Production Preparation
Secure Project resources and control them
Drive the associated P2 actors in case of P2 not completed in P1
Solve all project issues requiring any type of support of all suitable functions via the Project Escalation
Check and validate Project Team Members’ activities and proposes timing scenario to achieve milestones
Could conduct concept competitions to obtain customer orders
Define and manage budget including the budget of Projects part of designated Project/System
Define scope of projects
Prepare decision making process for relevant committee and challenge project team readiness
Prepare and submit CAA and IAR and challenge the P1 Project Managers or Launch Managers on the Projects part of designated Project/System Project
Manage all project changes and coordinate through the team
Apply Design to Cost methodology
Escalate at the right level and with relevant speed/anticipation the gaps versus targets
Lead AAI and development of all PTM’s from the team
Functionally responsible for all PTMs, set project objectives, ensure appraisal for Project Team Members
Manage communication with Customers on Project development progress
Keep client(s) updated on Project progress
Prepare/validate reports on Project development progress to PSC and PMC and to all governance stages when required
Manage customer relationship and coordinate communication within the team but also with P2/P1 projects associated
Ensure management of escalation if any
