About The Position

Valeo is a global tech company focused on reinventing mobility through innovative solutions. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for the operational and functional management of assigned projects, including OEM/OES projects. Your key responsibilities will include achieving project KPIs for profitability, quality, and production preparation, securing and controlling project resources, and driving associated P2 actors. You will also be tasked with resolving project issues, validating team activities, defining and managing budgets, preparing decision-making processes, and managing project changes. The role involves applying Design to Cost methodology, escalating issues as needed, leading AAI and PTM development, and functionally managing Project Team Members by setting objectives and ensuring appraisals. You will also manage customer communication, provide progress reports, and ensure client relationships are maintained. Promoting Valeo's values, culture, and standards, adhering to the code of ethics, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements are also crucial aspects of this position. The role requires ensuring project development aligns with Valeo standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an Engineering field, but other degree field can be considered
5+ years of product development experience and process knowledge practice for automotive components, preferably lighting or plastic injection molded parts, electronics, or related to optics
Management experience with functional and/or hierarchical organization experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willing to travel

Responsibilities

Manage operationally and functionally the assigned Projects
Manage OEM/OES Projects
Responsible for the achievement of the Project KPI in terms of profitability, Quality, and Production Preparation
Secure Project resources and control them
Drive the associated P2 actors in case of P2 not completed in P1
Solve all project issues requiring any type of support of all suitable functions via the Project Escalation
Check and validate Project Team Members’ activities and proposes timing scenario to achieve milestones
Could conduct concept competitions to obtain customer orders
Define and manage budget including the budget of Projects part of designated Project/System
Define scope of projects
Prepare decision making process for relevant committee and challenge project team readiness
Prepare and submit CAA and IAR and challenge the P1 Project Managers or Launch Managers on the Projects part of designated Project/System
Project Manage all project changes and coordinate through the team
Apply Design to Cost methodology
Escalate at the right level and with relevant speed/anticipation the gaps versus targets
Lead AAI and development of all PTM’s from the team
Functionally responsible for all PTMs, set project objectives, ensure appraisal for Project Team Members
Manage communication with Customers on Project development progress
Keep client(s) updated on Project progress
Prepare/validate reports on Project development progress to PSC and PMC and to all governance stages when required
Manage customer relationship and coordinate communication within the team but also with P2/P1 projects associated
Ensure management of escalation if any
Promote Valeo Values, Culture and Standards within the System / Project teams and control their application

Ensure Project (System or not) development in compliance with Valeo standards
