About The Position

Boeing Global Services is seeking a P-8A Multi Manager to lead the 1st shift Operations Team responsible for modifying the P-8A Poseidon at Boeing’s facility in Jacksonville, Florida. The program installs the ECP-6 modification on the aircraft and performs preservation requirements relevant to the 737-800. The P-8 Poseidon is a military aircraft based on a modified 737-800ERX design and supports missions including submarine hunting, reconnaissance, and search and rescue.

The manager oversees salary and hourly technicians and support personnel across multiple manufacturing disciplines. This role develops and executes organizational plans, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives; secures resources; provides technical management of suppliers; and leads process improvements. The position also builds relationships with customers and other stakeholders, oversees and approves technical approaches, products, and processes, and ensures established processes, accurate work recording, and contractual and regulatory compliance. Completing an assessment is required as part of the selection process.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a leadership role (such as team leader, temporary manager, large-scale cross-functional project or program management, or formal manager experience), or completion of Boeing’s internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
• At least 5 years of experience in operations and/or manufacturing processes.
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for the clearance, with an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance required post-start.
• Must complete an assessment as part of the selection process.
• Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience dealing with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and/or Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) customers on a monthly basis.
• At least 1 year of experience working with the P-8A or P-8I platform.
• At least 5 years of experience in sustainment, maintenance, and modifications.
• At least 5 years of experience working with government customers.
• At least 5 years of experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
