About The Position

Boeing Global Services is seeking a P-8A Multi Manager to lead the first-shift Operations Team at its Jacksonville, Florida facility. The team modifies the P-8A Poseidon, a military aircraft based on a modified Boeing 737-800ERX. The program will retrofit the multi-mission aircraft, including installation of the ECP-6 Modification and applicable 737-800 preservation work.

The manager shares responsibility for modification operations and manages salaried and hourly technicians and support personnel across multiple manufacturing disciplines. The role develops organizational plans and objectives, obtains resources, oversees suppliers and technical approaches, drives process improvements, and maintains relationships with customers and other stakeholders. It is also responsible for established processes, timely and accurate work recording, and contractual and regulatory compliance.

Candidates must complete an assessment during selection. Successful candidates must also satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest assessment process. The role requires compliance with U.S. export control requirements and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required after starting. Boeing will not sponsor employment visas. This is not a safety-sensitive position and is not contingent on a program award.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a leadership role, such as team leader, temporary manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience; alternatively, completion of Boeing’s internal “Exploring Leadership” course.
• At least five years of experience in operations and/or manufacturing processes.
• Complete the required assessment as part of the selection process.
• Satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.
• Meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for the clearance, with an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance required post-start.
• Must be eligible to work without employer-sponsored employment visa status.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience dealing monthly with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and/or Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) customers.
• At least one year of experience working with the P-8A or P-8I platform.
• At least five years of experience in sustainment, maintenance, and modifications.
• At least five years of experience working with government customers.
• At least five years of experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
