About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring owner-operators with Sprinter vans or cargo vans under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers access to a large number of loads, personalized load matching based on the operator’s preferences, and dispatchers with more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers. Advertised Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas. Canada Sprinter rates are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated working days are Monday through Friday. Applicants must provide their own qualifying vehicle and meet the stated eligibility, age, language, and driving-experience requirements. Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load. The company does not hire company drivers. The posting states a minimum average monthly salary of $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and possession of Hazmat certification or TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter van or cargo van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
The owner-operator and their drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and their drivers must speak, understand, and read basic English; Russian speakers are also hired.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinter vans must be no older than 2016.
Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE, and all decals must be removed.
Notify the company before putting a vehicle on the road if changes are made to it.
Submit the vehicle registration and insurance.
