About The Position

The Guest Service Associate provides attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services. The role parks and retrieves guest vehicles promptly and safely and assists with luggage delivery and pickup during guest arrival and departure, where applicable. The position works overnight shifts and requires weekend availability. The attendant welcomes and assists guests, provides information and directions, handles valet tickets and vehicle records, and collects parking revenue when needed. Work is primarily outdoors, potentially for the entire shift, and may involve exposure to extreme heat and cold. Travel of up to 5% may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license for the state of application, or within a commutable distance of that state, as applicable.
One month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Ability to read and write standard English; understand simple instructions and correspondence; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic with three-digit numbers, including calculations using American currency, and understand 24-hour and military time systems and rates based on elapsed time.
Ability to perform parallel parking.
Availability for overnight shifts and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, coworkers, and clients; acknowledge and greet guests, use their last names, and welcome them using the salutation of the day.
Follow Towne Park phone etiquette and remain in designated areas when not completing tasks.
Park and retrieve vehicles slowly and cautiously; assist with bell services and luggage storage, and open vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions.
Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested, and shuttle guests to location-approved destinations.
Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures; issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before returning keys.
Complete and maintain vehicle ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys, and claim-check receipts; record vehicle locations on key tags after parking.
Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed.
