About The Position

Maintains and replenishes stock safely and efficiently to meet customer purchasing needs while providing friendly, courteous customer service. The position generally works 6–8-hour shifts between 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Duties may include checking, training other employees, and other assigned tasks. The stated pay range is USD $17.38–$18.30 per hour.

Requirements

Consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
Have interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
Work varied nights in a 24/7 operation, including weekends and holidays.
Frequently reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects weighing up to 40 pounds from floor level to overhead; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Push and pull hand trucks and pallet jacks containing products of substantial weight.
Stand, walk, and move rapidly for long periods.
Frequently bend, stoop, twist, and turn.
Complete work activities safely and accurately; perform repetitive work accurately and with mental alertness.
Perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Learn and memorize product locations, check stand and keyboard procedures, company policies, PLU codes, inventory control merchandising, and shipping and receiving procedures.
Have manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination to move freight.
Work in varying weather conditions for outdoor duties, around potential equipment and tool hazards, and in freezers and coolers.
Visually inspect merchandise placed on shelves.
Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity to place small items on hooks and shelves.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Perform primary duties efficiently and accurately.
Obtain Food Handlers Certification as required by state law.

Responsibilities

Welcome, engage, serve, and thank customers while providing friendly and courteous customer service.
Maintain product quality; stock, rotate, and face products; discard outdated or spoiled products; and maintain the stockroom.
Cut boxes precisely and place small containers on shelves.
Maintain a safe, secure, and sanitary work environment.
Order products, cut cases, stack, price, and mark merchandise.
Build product displays and operate related equipment, including hand trucks and pallet jacks.
Perform duties with honesty and integrity.
May perform checking duties while providing friendly, courteous customer service.
May train other employees.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
