About The Position

The Overnight Stock Team Associate supports Five Below’s store operations by delivering customer service, maintaining organized and well-stocked merchandise, and helping the team meet store and company goals. The role involves assisting customers with product information and recommendations, promoting store events and offers, resolving concerns, communicating merchandise and service needs to management, and collaborating with coworkers. Applicants must be available from 10 PM to 8 AM. The posting describes the position as hourly and gives a starting pay of $15.00.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including the required 10 PM–8 AM availability.
• Comfortable using or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, handheld devices, and mobile devices.
• Good communication skills and ability to engage with customers.
• Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally.
• Able to use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
• Able to identify and discern email and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing customers to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed about product availability.
• Inform customers about current store events, promotions, and special activities.
• Address customer issues and use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Inform management in a timely manner about restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
• Operate the cash register and move, retrieve, and put away merchandise.
• Follow merchandise layout instructions, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
