About The Position
The Overnight Security Guard is responsible for being on site during the third shift, from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., to respond to resident requests and emergencies. The role helps maintain campus security, handles light maintenance and janitorial emergencies, and supports the mission and core values of Villa St. Benedict.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience in a related area with little direct supervision.
- Experience using tools and equipment required for the position.
- Basic understanding of computers.
- CPR/AED certification.
- First Aid certification.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- PERC is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Promptly respond to calls, assess situations, and contact appropriate individuals.
- Handle light maintenance and janitorial emergencies.
- Secure the campus nightly by checking doors, lights, and the grounds.
- Make regular rounds of buildings.
- Complete reports documenting nightly rounds and occurrences during the assigned shift.
- Assist with projects and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Attend to and perpetuate the core values and mission of Villa St. Benedict.
