About The Position

The Seasonal Overnight Operations Associate supports FAO Schwarz boutique operations, keeping products stocked, organized, and ready for guests. The role works primarily in the back of house while also supporting the sales floor and engaging guests as needed. This part-time seasonal position works overnight shifts from 11 pm to 7 am and is aligned with Level 1 of the company’s Career Framework, providing a foundation for progression into Specialist roles (Level 2).

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and a drive to keep work organized, accurate, and up to standard.
• Ability to work at the pace of a high-volume environment where priorities shift quickly.
• Comfort working both in the back of house and on the sales floor, with confidence engaging guests when appropriate.
• Genuine interest in toys, play, and the FAO Schwarz brand.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and twist for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work across days, evenings, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Retail, hospitality, or operations experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process shipments accurately and efficiently, following team priorities to move products to the sales floor.
• Keep the back of house clean, organized, and easy to navigate so the team can locate and pull products quickly.
• Replenish the sales floor to keep it full, tidy, and guest-ready.
• Follow visual merchandising standards, placing products according to the planogram and maintaining the expected presentation.
• Fulfill send-sale orders accurately and on time, including packing, processing, and dispatching purchases.
• Support opening and closing routines as needed to prepare the boutique for guests and secure its end-of-day readiness.
• Follow FAO Schwarz and Nordstrom loss-prevention processes and escalate unusual activity.
• Adapt to changing operational priorities and support the team wherever needed during the shift.
• Participate in training, seek feedback, and pursue continued growth in the role.
• Contribute ideas, observations, and suggestions to improve operations.
• Engage every guest encountered on the sales floor, regardless of workload.
