About The Position

Under the supervision of the Loss Prevention Supervisor and Director of Loss Prevention, the Overnight Loss Prevention Agent conducts patrols and surveillance of hotel property, identifies irregularities and suspicious activities, responds to emergency situations, and follows up on incidents from each shift. The agent may also retrieve guest vehicles from the garage and assist with bell duties overnight as needed.

The role requires professionalism, clear communication, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The scheduled third shift is 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., with the option to work selected first- and second-shift hours.

Requirements

• At least one year of security, loss prevention, or hotel experience is preferred.
• Certifications in the fundamentals of First Aid, CPR, and AED use.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and generate incident reports.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and deal professionally with personnel and the general public.
• Knowledge of emergency response to various emergency situations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and use initiative and judgment within established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and conduct surveillance of hotel property.
• Identify irregularities and suspicious activities.
• Respond to emergency situations using appropriate emergency-response knowledge.
• Follow up on incidents that occurred during each shift.
• Read, write, understand, and generate incident reports.
• Answer phone calls and greet guests and employees professionally and welcomingly.
• Set priorities and follow up on assignments with attention to detail.
• Communicate and work professionally with personnel at different levels and with the general public.
• Use initiative and judgment within established guidelines and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Assist with bell duties and retrieve guest vehicles from the hotel garage as needed.
• Perform additional duties as directed.
