About The Position

The Overnight Kitchen Steward plays a behind-the-scenes role in keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and operational. The position supports overnight guest needs, assists with light food preparation, and ensures that kitchen areas are ready for the next day’s service. The role is based at Amangiri, a luxury resort on the Colorado Plateau, and calls for a professional, detail-oriented, and team-focused approach.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, lifting, and bending.

Nice To Haves

• Previous kitchen or stewarding experience.
• Basic culinary knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dishware, and workspaces.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machinery and cleaning systems.
• Complete deep-cleaning tasks and follow nightly cleaning schedules.
• Prepare overnight staff meals and assist with light guest food requests.
• Keep storage areas organized and handle chemicals properly.
• Reset kitchen areas and prepare them for the morning team.
• Support overnight operations and communicate effectively with team members.
• Remove waste and maintain a safe, hygienic work environment.
• Uphold Aman’s standards of professionalism, cleanliness, and efficiency.
