About The Position

The Overnight Forklift Driver operates a forklift to transport merchandise and materials throughout the club, assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks, inspect and receive incoming merchandise, prepare pallets, and perform general maintenance and safety procedures. The role also includes stocking and storing merchandise, maintaining club policies and procedures, and providing Members with a positive service experience.

The position requires safe and efficient forklift operation, adherence to established safety standards, and successful completion of required training and certification processes. Work is performed mostly while standing and moving continuously on hard surfaces, with frequent bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and lifting. The environment may include moving machinery, loud equipment, temperature extremes in freezer or cooler units, and occasional exposure to cleaning agents.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift operating experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently; inspect it before use and follow established safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise and materials from delivery trucks; inspect and prepare trucks for unloading.
• Accurately receive merchandise and materials delivered to the club.
• Lift, reserve, and drop pallets between overhead steel and the sales floor.
• Prepare pallets for safe storage by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transport merchandise, materials, and pallets safely throughout the club; use a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and store general and food merchandise, and ensure merchandise is fully stocked.
• Handle damaged and spoiled merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
• Keep the club neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings.
• Return merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greet Members, provide prompt and courteous service and assistance, and help Members locate merchandise.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned and work in other departments as needed.
