About The Position

The Overnight Forklift Driver operates a forklift to transport merchandise and materials throughout the club and assists with loading and unloading delivery trucks. The role includes inspecting and receiving incoming merchandise, preparing and moving pallets, stocking and storing merchandise, completing general maintenance and safety procedures, following club policies, and providing positive service to Members.

The position involves continuous standing and movement on hard surfaces, frequent bending and other positioning to examine or scan merchandise, and frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds. Moving heavier or awkward objects may be required with assistance. The work environment is generally comfortable but includes moving machinery and loud equipment, occasional exposure to freezer or cooler temperature extremes, and occasional exposure to cleaning agents.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift operating experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently; inspect it before use and follow established safety standards.
• Load and unload merchandise and materials from delivery trucks, prepare trucks for unloading, and accurately receive deliveries.
• Lift, reserve, and drop pallets between overhead steel and the sales floor; prepare pallets by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transport merchandise, materials, and pallets safely throughout the club, using a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and store general and food merchandise; maintain fully stocked areas and handle damaged or spoiled merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
• Keep the club neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard and performing general maintenance duties.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings and return merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greet Members, provide prompt and courteous service and assistance, and help Members locate merchandise.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties and work in other departments as needed.
